To reproduce:
1. start with a clean editor.
2. set font size to 20 (or some other formatting ending up in span)
3. type 'asdf' hit shift+enter
4. type 'asdf' hit shift+enter
5. type 'asdf'

6. now, select row 2 and 3 with mouse. 
7. press the bullet list icon/button.
