Description

Hi all,

we are currently upgrading our HTML editor from FCKEditor to CKEditor (I know, we are very late :) )

We want to use plugin "image2" (to preserve the "Center the image" functionality see http://ckeditor.com/addon/image2) instead of the buit-in "image" plugin.

However "image2" does not contain "Image Info" "Link" "Advanced tabs like we know from "image".

Are these tabs hidden and I need to enable them or does the "image2" plugin don't support them? If the "Image2" plugin does not support these tabs I would request them with this ticket.

Thanks Frank

I'm confirming this issue.

We plan to introduce something like tutorial that shows step-by-step how to add advanced tab to image or extend it in other ways (e.g. properties like "border" from image1 info tab).
We perhaps will consider adding advanced tab to image2 as well but this is to be determined. Either we will present compact plugins which can be extended based on some tutorial or we will extend this plugin and present other ways to extend it.

About link tab - image can be linked with link plugin.

There are no plans to work on advanced tabs for both - image2 itself and image2's links. If a developer needs additional image or link settings, which can't be applied using stylesheets (which is the recommended way), then she/he must extend the image2 plugin. This can be done using the dialog and widget APIs.

I'm sorry @Reinmar but I have missed your comment 22 months ago.

Yes, that is true. The image2 plugin was meant to be the compact version of an older image plugin. That goal has been achieved.
If anyone is missing some functionalities he should either add them manually by extending image 2 plugin/dialog (with the help of widget and dialog api) or switch back to image plugin.
