Cannot resize an image in Chrome using the Image plugin

Description
Would like to be able to grab the corner of an image or table and resize it directly without going to a dialog.
This works with the image plugin for a number of browser, but does not however works in Chrome.
Is there a way to port the fix from image2 plugin into image plugin ? http://dev.ckeditor.com/ticket/6668

One of the reasons why we have introduced image2 was to allow resizing in every browser.
Could you explain in more detail why do you want this feature to be introduced in standard image? What is wrong with image2 that you don't want to use it and prefer sticking to old image plugin?
