#3080 closed Bug (invalid)

ckFinder 1.3.1: undefined variable: rulesMasks

Reported by: Thomas Tallyce Owned by:
Priority: Normal Milestone:
Component: Server : PHP Version:
Keywords: Pending Cc:

Description

in addACLEntry in AccessControlConfig.php, $rulesMasks is undefined.

If display_errors is on, this results in an error being spat out to the XML response, resulting in an invalid XML feed, so this is not merely a hypothetical problem.

I couldn't find the/a bug reporting site for ckFinder so I hope this is the right place to report it.

Thanks for reporting this.

In the future please post CKFinder bugs in the CKFinder forum: http://www.fckeditor.net/forums/viewforum.php?f=10 (if it's a critical security bug, please use the contact form so that we could provide a security fix before announcing it publicly).

Please let me know what are your ACL setings in config.php and when exactly does this error happen (assuming that erorr_reporting is already set to E_ALL and display_errors = 1).

I will log the ticket on the forum, but I explicitly saw a posting that said to come here:

"1. Read the documentation

  1. Check the nightly build
  2. If the problem isn't reported, file a ticket about it"

http://www.fckeditor.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=12326#p32312

Perhaps that user could be encouraged to change their signature to make clear this bug tracker applies to (F)CKeditor only, as now appears to be the case?

Fixed in CKFinder 1.3.2.

And about my signature:
You can argue that the docs site is shared by FCKeditor, CKEditor and CKFinder. OK
The second point requests to check the nightly build, and it points to FCKeditor: http://dev.fckeditor.net/wiki/SVN#NightlyBuild
The third point is linking to the entry page for filling bugs here: http://dev.fckeditor.net/wiki/Bugs where you are again asked to check the current build of FCKeditor. There's no mention about CKFinder at all.

In other posts I might reply about Firefox, IE, and whatever, but that doesn't mean that you should file tickets about those products in the FCKeditor tracker. I'm just trying to provide the links and steps to file a bug on FCKeditor easily as those are most of the posts that I reply to.

Note: See TracTickets for help on using tickets.
