I don't know if this is a improve or what, but it's very useful. My example is based on fckeditor.php
I suggest replace the line 38, by these lines:
$FCK_PATH =
str_replace("\\",'/',substr(dirname(__FILE__),strlen($_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT'])));
if (!ereg('/$', $FCK_PATH)){
$FCK_PATH .= '/';
}
// directory where FCKeditor files are located
$this->BasePath = $FCK_PATH;
These lines load the base path automatically...
