Exclamation "!" should be converted to ! because it has a special meaning at the beginning of the line: Insert this into cell to reproduce error:

Agree, especially in this particular case as TH support will be enabled in FCK 2.6 .

A lot of "normal" chars has special meaning in MediaWiki (example: #1003) and it seems to me that converting anything to entities makes no sense.
So I'm closing my own ticket ;-o
