Description

Just wondering why you chose that setup. Copy/pasting seems to work fine when setting it to false, and is much more user-friendly.

Summary: Why set config "ForcePasteAsPlainText" to true ?Do not use "ForcePasteAsPlainText" in the MediaWiki integration

We still have to work on the Copy/Paste system. As you can imagine, users can copy data from unlimited kinds of programs and web sites. So, a lot of garbage could be pasted inside the editor, including things that are not compatible with MediaWiki.

Ideally, we should have a dedicated cleanup system for this case, similar to the Word cleanup feature we have in FCKeditor.

I'm changing this ticket title, transforming it in a valid feature request.

Hi. Thanks for this wonderful tool! I've been able, personally, to get around this when using Firefox on Linux, and using the Xorg paste buffer, which gets around the Plain Text paste. I have users who use both Macs and Windows, but haven't started figuring out how they can do the same. I haven't tried to disable Paste as Plain Text yet. However, in my limited tries, I haven't yet encountered a problem when pasting from OpenOffice Writer into the editor. Has anyone found an actual problem object/format that displays the bad behaviour that others can test? How gracefully (or ungracefully) does it fail? This method is a decent (if tedious) method for ingesting non-Mediawiki content.
