Description

I am using ckeditor with primefaces extensions version.

When I copy a mail content from Lotus Notes and paste it to CKEditor it only pastes images in editor from the content I copied. In this scenario I use ckeditor in firefox. But in chrome I can copy and paste mail content that I copy from Lotus Notes.

Is there anything that I can do for have success with copy-paste from Lotus Notes to ckeditor in Firefox?

Thanks in advance

  1. We don't support Lotus Notes.
  2. We have never tried it so I can't even tell you if Notes carry any HTML. To be more precise - if browsers see any HTML that CKEditor could use.
  3. You have mentioned that pasting wroks in Chrome but not in Firefox. There should not be such difference between browsers. There might be 3 reasons responsible for such state (my guesses):
    • You use different editors (with different set of plugins and ACF turned on) in these two browsers
    • Firefox cache needs to be cleared (this is not Ctrl+F5)
    • You have some Chrome third party plugin that does conversion from Lotus notes to HTML

I'm closing this issue as invlid because we don't provide support for Notes. You can however leave a comment with your findings.

I have created a Feature Request for Lotus Notes #12928.

If we get good feedback we may consider working on this in the future however at the moment no work will be carried out in this area.
