[Safari] Unable to choose font or background color without selecting text

Description

Steps to reproduce

Start typing text.

Try to change the font or the background color using the color menu.

See that nothing is changing

Expected behavior

Font or background color should change when a color is picked instantly as in other browsers.

Testing platform

Windows Vista. Safari 3.0.4 (523.15).

FCKeditor versions: 2.5.1, 2.6beta and SVN
