If we'll not have feedback from WebKit on this, we'll be forced to make all paste buttons always enabled in Safari, even if there is no data in the clipboard.

I think that it would be the proper action. Just leave always the paste buttons always enabled and they'll always popup the paste window. Not user friendly, but that's what Apple forces us to do.
