Description
There have been discussions about this in the forums with some plausible work-arounds but all seem a bit like a hack.

Would it be possible to add a configuration to override the default signle-click event to initiate inline edit mode?

I would love to see this feature to. CKEditor is very cool to implement in online authoring tools, but a single click usually selects an element to move it.
@retrohunter IMHO this is great idea and very good alternative to #7145. We wouldn't have to change editor functionality as links could be opened when editor is inactive. This sounds simple and brilliant. I will forward this to my colleagues.
