API Search Functionality

Description
Can a search functionality be added to the api documentation? That is, it would make developer's life a lot easier when searching/looking for specific methods/properties. Also, could we have more examples?

I second that -- I think that a considerable number of users do not use the API (and hence just start from asking a question on the forum and/or create redundant tickets on Trac) because they cannot find the search functionality and do not know that you can limit Google search to a particular domain/ URL.
As for providing more examples, we are working on that along ongoing with API expansions and corrections.
