Getting ? in the empty spaces

Description
I am using FCK with codeigniter. When i add space manually I get a question mark (?) in that place. Please help

Did you get this error without using codeigniter? I'm asking because this might be some codeigniter configuration problem not FCKEditor prolbem.
Just a reminder, FCKeditor can be downloaded from http://sourceforge.net/projects/fckeditor/files/FCKeditor/2.6.6/FCKeditor_2.6.6.zip/download While checking, please use FCKeditor from _samples directory.
Maybe you could also try to download the latest version of CKEditor (http://ckeditor.com/download) and try to use it with codeigniter. If you don't get this error than maybe it will be good incentive to upgrade to the latest version of the product.
