Description
Hi,
We are using CKEditor (FCKeditor actually) in a desktop application. We plan to make commercial use of the application. Do we need to buy one of your commercial licenses?
We found this: http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-faq.html#GPLCommercially
We haven't modified the CKEditor code per se. So would we still have to included the source of ckeditor in our package? Our software code will not be given to our customers.
Thanks & Regards Pradeep

This is a question that arises from time to time. Perhaps it would be beneficial to clarify licensing options and their requirements in "real world" situations at the www.ckeditor.com website.

@matti it has been explained here: http://ckeditor.com/license.[[BR]] Site contains very good description of CKSource Closed Distribution Licenses (CDL) and links to Open Source licenses.
and their requirements in "real world" situations at the www.ckeditor.com website.
Site lists benefits of CDL over Open Source which means that in "real world" you can't have those benefits with Open Source. I don't think that rewriting the same to some other location is a good idea.
Yes you would.
If you don't like what Open Source license is offering than perhaps you would be interested in Closed Distribution License. Please view the URL treating about licenses for CKEditor: http://ckeditor.com/license
Please also note that the CKEditor development website is not the right place for asking such questions. You should rather use contact form for that http://cksource.com/contact
