CKEditor 4 - Text selection disappearing when opening Link Dialog (first time)

Hello my clients are running into the following issue:

When they first open the CKEditor (4.1) text editor and select text to create a link, the text deselects and the link URL appears next to the text.

It's possible to select the text a second time and successfully create the link.

There was a similar issue in 3.3 (​https://dev.ckeditor.com/ticket/5780)

Hum... there was also a similar issue in 4.0 or 4.0 beta. It was caused by making a selection which starts in editable but ends (mouse button is released) outside it, so some mouseup listeners were lost.

I tried to reproduce your issue on CKEditor 4.1.2 on FF, Chrome and IE9 with no success. I was making selection exactly like you - by releasing mouse button over padding area.

• On which browsers have you noticed this issue?
• Could you try to update CKEditor to 4.1.2?
