Unable to select table cells and apply Font Size or Font Style to selected cells

Description

Steps to reproduce problem:

Create a table.
Enter text into k cells of the table.
Select these k cells.
Select a Font Size from toolbar.
Only the first cell in the list of selected cells has the font change applied.

People familiar with MS Word would expect to be able to apply the font size to selected cells. The same capability should exist with Font Styles menu.
