We have checked this issue on two machines with same system and same safari version. One had problem described by you and one didn't. I personally had this dot located a little bit to the bottom in chrome.
I'm not sure where this 1-2 pixel difference is this coming from but I have tried changing every assigned CSS style available and non-resulted in dot being moved to the middle.
Taking the above into account I propose that we close this ticket. Do you agree?
