Description
FCKEditor 2.x, seemingly appears in versions of Firefox/Safari, not reproducable in IE(8).
Steps to reproduce in Firefox 3.6:
- Insert and Highlight some text in the Edit window.
- Click Insert/Edit Link button.
- Type in a url and click OK
- The text that you highlighted to create a link out of is replaced by the url path you specified in the Insert/Edit Link dialogue.
Expected behavior: The text that you highlighted to create a link out of is not replaced by the url path. A hyperlink is created out of the original text pointing to the url specified.
I couldn't find a config option to change this behavior, believe it's a bug.

Problem is no longer reproducible, neither in FCKditor 2.6.6 (which is no longer supported) nor in latest CKEditor 3.6.3.
