Adding an anchor deletes the character to the right of anchor

Description
On entering an anchor at the start of a paragraph, the text or character to the right of the inserted anchor is deleted. This occurs in IE8.0.7601.17514 but not in Firefox 7.0.1, using Windows 7.

Reproducible in IE8 and IE9 from CKEditor 3.6 rev [6904].
Additionally in IE9:
... You are using CKEditor.^, insert an anchor (icon is visible) and click below the line with sample text (see screen2.png) - icon will disappear.
