Adding an anchor deletes the character to the right of anchor

Description
On entering an anchor at the start of a paragraph, the text or character to the right of the inserted anchor is deleted. This occurs in IE8.0.7601.17514 but not in Firefox 7.0.1, using Windows 7.

Result: The first letter to the right will be deleted.
Reproducible in IE8 and IE9 from CKEditor 3.6 rev [6904].
Additionally in IE9:
... You are using CKEditor.^
, insert an anchor (icon is visible) and click below the line with sample text (see screen2.png) - icon will disappear.
