Description
STR:
- Go to DEMO page.
- Highlight at least 3 words and set the background color to yellow.
- Highlight the middle word and set the background color to green.
Result: the yellow background from the first and third words is gone.
This is reproducible in IE9 and IE10. It works fine in IE8. It's a problem for the background color only. Foreground color is fine.

This issue is very similar to #8934.
This ticket is reproducible only in IE9-IE10 and only with background-color.
