I'm using FCK editor 2.2 In my localhost it is working fine but when i uploaded it to my site it was showing error in page (in the left bottom of the page)

I clicked on it & it showed me:

'FCKdialog' is undefined

Note: this error found in IE7, FF is okay

I have installed FCKeditor from the May 15 nightly build on MediaWiki 1.12 and PHP 5.2.4. The edit page appears as expected. The problem I am having occurs when I try to save the page. In Firefox on linux, a download dialog box appears asking to download the index.php file. In IE v6 on Widows I get a page not found error. I have tried everything I can think of to identify the source of the problem. I have disabled all installed extensions hoping that it is an extension conflict. No luck. What can I do next?

When there are multiple editors on a given page sometimes the onload event is not fired. This only seems to affect FF2. The bug seems to occur after the first time the page is loaded, that is the second or subsequent refreshes. My guess would be a cache issue.

I don't know a better way to reproduce this issue than to provide a link to a test page I made that should show the issue. ​Link

I'm integrating FCK on our web application and sometimes when I load FCK, I get these javascript errors. The editor ends up not loading the text area (where you edit your stuff). I got a screen cap of it on Firefox together with the errors Firebug caught. This only happens randomly and so far, only on Firefox.

I was able to fix it by clearing my cache and refreshing the page. Just refreshing it won't do the trick. I've had a few complaints about this already.

• Background-image for HTML and Body don't work when using them both
• width is ignored

The background-image for the HTML or BODY tags do work, but not if you use them both.

The width property for HTML and BODY is ignored: IE always shows the lines (i.e. paragraphs over the full length of the editor).

I've installed the IE Developer Toolbar. With that tool I saw that the HTML and BODY tag did had a width property, but the problem was still there.

The background-image is not the worst problem: not being able to set the width is very annoying for the editors using FCKEditor.

What's causing this and how to fix this?

I have an existing web site with css. We set up the fckeditor for non html programmers to manage the webpages. In the WYSIWYG mode they set the font tags and such and once they save it to the database everything looks fine. Once it is being viewed on the site the fonts are mismatched. Do you have any suggestion or recommendation on how to fix this? Or have you heard of this happening?

Saving a page often inserts extra space between lines and paragraphs. Trying to remove extra space sometimes deleted content.

Steps: 1.On the demo set cursor at the end of the text

2. Hit enter (creating new paragraph)
3. type something and press del
4. Content is corrupted

(If before pressing del you press left arrow, then everything will be ok). The same effect can be achived if you just start to backspace your text from the end and when all is deleted press del. Or ctr-A then del or backspace and then del.

Im getting 800a025e error in IE7, while popup the fck editor in window.

example "<p>1</p><p>2</p><p>3</p>", nothing error, content sending correctly, but if i insert in place "<p>1 &nbsp;</p>" after POST, content is break and i have in result only <p>1</p>, another part of content as "<p>2</p><p>3</p>" is absent!

No error messages appear when this happens. When using IE7 to fill out forms created w/ Semantic Forms Mediawiki extension, cannot save the changes. Changes are not committed, instead you are returned to the FCK editing screen. This behavior does not occur in FF and changes are saved properly. Using Mediawiki 1.12, latest version of FCKeditor nightly build, and latest Semantic Forms extension.

i detected the bugs on Safari when i paste the entire html source code into the fck source view.The html contain some javascript code between <head> tags.when i call oEditor.GetXHTML .It displays the entire html with no javascript in the header. also in Safari when i switched form source to design view the javascript in the header is deleted. or the data between <script>&</script> tags is cleared.

Same error of #2263 is occured using Page Break,HR,INPUT:hidden and Flash in the editor.i think that error is occured on with fckdocumentprocessor.js

The following bug report is on FCKEditor v2.5.1 and also verified to happen in 2.6. on the fckeditor demo page. Happens in Windows XP with IE 7 and FF 2 and when entering information using Hebrew-enabled windows plus a hebrew keyboard.

The punctuation characters jump to the right instead of being entered correctly towards the left. This does NOT happen in normal textarea input fields ... only in the FCKeditor enabled fields.

When I write messages in Hebrew (which is quite often) from the WebMail client, I can justify the text to the right, but punctuation marks are not justified correctly - when used at the end of a line, they keep jumping back to the right side of the sentence (i.e., to its' beginning)

Is there a way to fix this?

I assume that the issue is happening when you are using one of the HTML email composition modes in WebMail? If it is happening when using a text composition mode, then the problem most likely is in your web browser as these text input fields are completely controlled by the web browser.

For HTML input modes, we use the 3rd party tool FCKEditor. It is possible that the issue is related to this tool. In fact, in our next major release, scheduled for next weekend, we are upgrading from v2.5.1 to v2.6.1 of this HTML editing tool. You can try their current demo of v2.6.1 at

If you can enter your Hebrew correctly here without the punctuation problem, then the issue will be resolved when we release v10.0 of LuxSci next weekend. I tried the text mode - everything works fine with that one.

I also tried the new demo editor - the same problem (with the punctuation marks) still exists there. They also have a "Multi-Lingual" demo there, which actually changed the menus to Hebrew - but it didn't solve the problem with the actual text editing.

I have noticed that FCKeditor seems to not work so well when reviewing versions after clicking 'undo' in the history for a page.

On the 'undo' screen MediaWiki compares 'Current revision' and 'Your Text'. 'Current revision' I assume come from the latest version of page in the database (WikiText) and 'Your Text' comes from the editor... the problem is that the content that is coming from the editor is HTML not WikiText (passing from WYSIWYG).

This makes it hard to compare and messy becuase 1 is WikiText and the other is HTML.

It is even worse when: 1) 2 users open the same page for edit at the same time 2) User 1 makes a change hits the save page button 3) User 2 makes a change and hits the save page button 4) User 2 gets a warning message saying that page has change since and give comparison... It will automatically update the editor with User 1's changes (latest version of page in database, which is WikiText). The problem is that the WikiText is put in the WYSIWYG not the 'WikiText' section.

Is there a fix for this? OR Is there any way to change the code so that the 'WikiText' is used rather than from FCKeditor WYSIWYG.

Any ideas/help appreciated!!

END NOTE: I also tested this by disabling the FCKeditor, worked fine because working with all WikiText.

If a user wants to do more than one format on the same substring the formatting will at least partial show in the editor, but after submitting the formatting does not show up on the result. The code produced looks like: <span style="font-family: Comic Sans MS;"><span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 255);"><span style="font-size: 5px;">some text</span></span></span> It seems that the styles from the cascading spans are not inherited in the browser. If the code is simplified to: <span style="font-family: Comic Sans MS; color: rgb(255, 0, 255); font-size: 5px;">some text</span> the formatting will be show up as expected. I have seen this in IE, Firefox, Opera and Safari so I really think yhis is a FCKeditor thing.

0en using a FCK editor for about 2 years. I used to write in word and paste but the now departed tech support man for CMS.rightside.com advised writing directly in FCK editor. Now I just installed Firefox 3.0 and the editor wiki freezes wherever I go: to firefox itself; here, or to: cms.rightside.com

The editor's cut, copy and paste buttons are not working in my installation... nor are the cut, copy and paste options, that appear when you right-click on the mouse...when you mark the text area and click on the icon nothing happens

• like a dead link... The only way to use the cut, copy and paste functionality

is by entering the corresponding shortcuts on the keyboard.

Can anyone help me solve this problem?

btw: I would like to set a default value for the width and height of the image in the dialogue window, that appears when you insert an image on the page. Into which file should I insert the default-values?

After playing around with this for about 2 hours, I have determined that this is a (critical) bug in fckeditor; more specifically, ReplaceTextarea(). I don't see what you are seeing, but instead I see the fckeditor load, then the window blinks for a second, and then it *looks* like it is completely loaded. Just 2 problems:

1.) all text that was previous in the textarea is gone and

2.) clicking on heading/font, or clicking anywhere in the textarea, outputs JS warnings. Strangely enough - if I put an alert() in the middle of the fckeditor code, the delay it takes for me to close the alert box appears to be enough to allow the loading process to proceed correctly. I see the textarea text correctly populated into the fckeditor window and i get no javascript errors when I click on various stuff. So my guess is that something is trying to be placed in a DOM element too quickly on IE6 before that element is ready.

The code in question works in all other browsers. As stated above, the code works on IE 6 if I put in an alert() statement anywhere in the fckeditor code (I put in an "alert("HERE!");" statement right after the definition of FCKBrowserInfo.

This code fires onload:

oFCKeditor.ReplaceTextarea()

In the base content of the page we have this declaration:

Now the FCKeditor Java v2.4 implementation lists only the single folder contents in the browse server page.It would be nice if we can display multiple folder locations on the load in the same page.

If content being inserted is not being inserted into a block level element, but itself begins with a block level element (e.g. <p>insertion</p>), then this results in the extra blank prefixed paragraph.

Following are lines 165 through 173 (as of 07/19) of the InsertHtml() function in the 'internals/fck_ie.js' file.

	// Using the following trick, any comment in the beginning of the HTML will

	oSel.createRange().pasteHTML( html ) ;

This 'trick' is what I find causing the extra beginning blank paragraph. I suspect that pasteHTML() is making the HTML valid by putting the span inside of a block level element (namely a <p> tag). Then the removal only removes the span thus leaving the extra paragraph. ( <p>&nbsp;</p> )

I'd prefer having to embed a beginning comment in a tag due to omitting this trick [which is what this ends up doing in this case anyway given <!-- comment --><p>insert</p> to get <p><!-- comment --></p><p>insert</p>] than have this paragraph added when inserting a block with no comment. In other words, this 'trick' semi-fixes so few cases (none in my case) with annoying expense for many use cases.

If preserving such comments is important, then replacing 'span' with 'p' (or 'div') works in this particular case, but unacceptably breaks inline insertions. Perhaps the appropiate way should be determined by looking at the parent element. I've tried using elements that can be either block or inline elements (e.g. object), but without success. They always get treated like inline elements. (also work like span) So, unfortunately a good solution for this problem isn't as simple as merely changing the tag.

I downloaded fckeditor-java-demo-2.4.war application from your site and it seems that it does not have the FCKeditor.tld file in it.

I downloaded FCKeditor-2.3.zip from your site and deployed the web application on my server. When I try to access index.jsp present in web/_samples/ directory, it gives me "404-page not found" error in the frame containing the submit button.

When I tried to debug, the line 319 in FCKeditor.java (createIFrameHTML method) sets the path to be used in the frame to a file named fckeditor.html. I don't see fckeditor.html present in FCKeditor-2.3.zip file. Where can I find this file ?. Are there any other files missing from FCKeditor-2.3.zip file ?.

We found FCKeditor 2.6.2 for Java Platform (the source code and the application) to be pretty useful.

Unfortunately we have Weblogic 8.1 SP6, which supports jdk 1.4.x

and Servlet 2.3 API.

Is it possible to migrate the source code in version 2.6.2

to be used for our environment ?. If yes, what changes do we need to make ?. I tried this a bit, but was getting errors when the server was trying to parse FCKeditor.tld.

We just need the ability to cut/copy/paste text content present on a HTML page and some controls to draw table/column/row. We are not interested in state-of-the-art SLF4J logging facade, ConfigTag, etc. which need higher versions of JDK and Servlet/JSP API.

If the above feature is not possible to achieve, I would

like to know if the application/source code present in FCKeditor-2.3.zip contains the previous version before v2.6.2 and is a stable release or not ?. What are the know bugs in FCKeditor-2.3.zip ?.

i cant insert images and any other pop up window is not working it is hidden by css. the popupwindows are not resizing to fit the contents of it. i prefer a normal popup window, or iframe without shaddow and so. but one that displays good. most of my visitors have IE7 and IE6. i cant relay on maybe they have firefox to view the website correctly.

i have tried to disable the css of the border but it didn't helped.

for now how to make normal popup windows?

If you have a url that has the string "gif" in it and create a link to it, the href is created incorrectly.

Say there's a website www.giftshop.com. Adding a link to this will produce <a href="http:/www.giftshop.com">www.giftshop.com</a>

A workaround for it is to view source and add 4 forward slashes:

Hi Using Fckeditor version 2.6.3 in my Drupal instance (5.10), I got the error message FCKLang is undefined in IE6 and the FCKEditor headers are not shown in the edit-screen. In FF the error does not occur, but then the values inside the edit-screen are not saved..

When editing a page, no matter what, I get a:

at the bottom of the page. If I switch back and forth, I get a new line, leading to multiples when going back and forth. I've also attached a screenshot.

The Image Property Dialog OK and Cancel buttons are displaying incorrectly in FF3. Ok in IE7. I've attached a screenshot for you.

When I insert a list (either a 1, 2, 3 list or bulleted lists), the text "NaN" appears above every list item. Possibly a Javascript number conversion that fails?

I have installed FCKeditor in my Drupal install and I get a horizontal bar at the bottom of the textarea for it is made 80 columns instead of 60.

How do you control the width of the textarea?

I am not using a default template and I read here and there that the problem could come from the CSS. But I did not see anything about this problem anyway.

FYI, I'm testing under Linux with SeaMonkey (a FireFox clone, the problem is the same under FireFox and IE 7 anyway.)

Connector appearing after clicking "Browse Server" button always returns a full link with protocol (e.g. ​http://server.com/somewhere_inside/index.php). The first time FCK script cuts the protocol from URL. But if the user clicks "Browse Server" button without closing the link options window, FCK script won't cut the protocol from URL and will pass the URL with a doubled protocol (e.g. ​http://http://server.com/somewhere_inside/index.php) to the main window.

When I use the imagefunction the editor fails to linebreak after the insert-tag is closed, how can I fix this?

Following scenario creates a broken list:

1. Create a simple list with 2 subitems
2. Move to first sub item and press enter, an empty subitem is made.
3. Inside the empty subitem press enter one more time.

Result: The empty sub element is removed and IE renders a bullet list outside of the sublist, at level 1

In source mode following code is displayed:

    </ul>
    </li>
</ul>

When hitting the enter key, two paragraph elements are inserted into the text. Also, if you hit delete, both elements are deleted, so you can not get the correct paragraph break unless you go into the source. This happens in FireFox 3 and IE 7.

Example: If I have some text in the editor, and I wish to add a sentence to preface the remarks, when I finish the statement and hit enter, there are 2 <p>&nbsp;</p> elements between the preface remarks and the original text. Hit delete and the original text is butting against my new sentence.

When using mediawiki in fckeditor, heavy use of special characters for page formatting <br> nbsp and &lt;br&amp;gt can make wikitext difficult to read.

Is it possible to reduce use of these tags for example or make this a user option?

The editor does not correctly handle strings like &lang=de. This string will be converted into 〈=de during loading.

Maybe the editor converts & to simple &, resulting &lang=de, and then the editor will handle this as as an entity like ⟨=de and then converts it into an UTF8 code 〈.

I found it while i tried to save a link with url params in the text. In the href section it is handled correctly, but not in text section of an A-Tag: <a href="domain.com?param=1&amp;lang=de">domain.com?param=1&#9001=de</a>

I think the editor does not correctly check, if this is really a HTML-Entity, cause really entities have a trailing ";".

An update did not resolve this bug.

When you make a form in the FCKeditor window and put a textarea in the form, in Firefox it deletes anything after the textarea and IE will not save.

For example, I tested a form with a textarea and then a submit button after the textarea. When I insert the button after the textarea in the code view and then select "source" again for the design view, it looks fine (attachment 1). When I save, it is still correct. When I open the editor again, then it starts acting up (attachment 2). If I click source then the button is pulled out of the code and put at the bottom of the page (attachment 3). If I "save" the changes, then it totally deletes the button and its code (attachment 4).

hi, i've tried everything i can think of, but 2.6.3 still gives me:

when i copy "my text" from a homepage in FF3 and paste it into FCKeditor 2.6.3 in another FF3 tab. I've tried to disable pastefromword and looked throught the source but can't find why it's doing this. i want plain text. :(

it was even more annoying to read in the forums that "no more font tags as standard from 2.5".. all i get is bloody font tags.

We are using the FCKeditor Wikimedia extension and are experiencing problems when this extension is used by Firefox 1.5.0.4.

We got a Table and some of the field are with colored background. This backgroundcolor is set with an Template {{tbcolor1}}.

When i open this site in the edit section and fckeditor spawned, {{tbcolor1}} changed to {{tbcolor1="" , thus rendering the template tag inoperative.

Please add a set of emoticons similar to Gmail's editor. See attached.

I see the following problem with the current fck editor version (2.6.3). Currently I see this on Firefox 3.0.3 windows and ubuntu. IE 7 does work correctly (if OnSelectionChange works at all...)

1. Create a editor instance

2. Attach a OnSelectionChange event handler which evaluates the IsDirty() flag

3. Now start the editor, make sure it has NOT the focus.

4. Insert a image via the toolbar

As you can see, the OnSelectionChange event is not fired, and also the IsDirty() flag is not set to true.

If we do the same thing, but with fckeditor having the focus, then OnSelectionChange is fired and also IsDirty() is set correctly to true.

When using FCKeditor within a PHP page the given HTML code (input) is rewritten wrong by FCKeditor. In WYSIWYG mode the following replacement is occuring:

class='className'

becomes:

class="'className'"

Because of this double quotation the class is not recognized and the element will not display according to the given stylesheet.

When i use ':' for indenting a text in wikitext and switch to WYSIWYG mode the ':' are getting converted to HTML tags <dl>&<dd>. Can someone please tell me how this is getting converted, rather which function is fckeditor for mediawiki using to achieve this. Please help me.

I have 3 bloggers in my wordpress blog and when an author profile but when they try to align a text or an image using the FCKeditor the modifications doesn't work, I mean, is like that the changes that I made with the FCKeditor just aplly if I use an editor or admin profile.

Steps to reproduce":

Paste content with multiple paragraphs. It can originate from a website or a text file. Submit the form, and notice how extra line breaks are added between paragraphs as soon as you click submit. Also, clicking the "Source" button will reproduce the same issue. Issue cannot be replicated using Firefox in Windows. Safari does not replicate this bug either.

I usually make some manuals with screen captures. The captured image is copied to clipboard. Then I would like to paste this image to FCKeditor directly. Is it impossible? Or is there any other security problem?

I hope this functionality will be supported.

When using the document property,
the doctype declaration does not work very well.
It is not loaded when using firefox and loaded as other on IE7.

The problem is that a value is use for a select, instead of the selectedIndex.
( And the comparaison must be case-insensitive ???).

Using drupal 5.11

Installed latest version of FCKeditor + Paging module, yet the page is not broken.

When in 'edit' mode, I can see the pagebreak line, but it's completely ignored in 'view' mode.

The problem occurs on the site www.proudplus.com

I use FCKeditor at Seedwiki. When I type, say, a computer program inside <PRE>...</PRE> tags, all newline characters become <BR /> tags. A code like:

For a number of reasons sometimes it's preferable to use the TextArea editor, or simply we are stuch with a browser where FCKeditor's WYSIWYG feature doesn't work. In those cases, we must face the nightmare of editing that long single line.

Hence my suggestion: don't convert newline characters into <BR /> inside <PRE>...</PRE> tags.

1. To reproduce add the following to 'Source' window (this is simulating a paste from word into regular editing window, stripping tags, and then clicking 'Source'):

6. The last toggle is just to illustrate what is going on, but when the text area gets saved from the normal view without the toggle, it saves with the above result. This is with the most current release 2.6.3

Steps to reproduce:

1. Place cursor in editable area
2. Click on table dialog button
3. Erase all default values
4. Click on OK. (Table will now have been created but is naturally not easily selectable.)
5. Click on the tiny 'table'.
6. Click on the table dialog box.
7. OK button is not present.

This may seem contrived, but if someone rubs out all of the fields but means to leave just the rows/cols but accidentally rubs those out too, they cannot get back to add those rows/cols in.

(PS It would be extremely helpful if the default values in this box were setable, and in particular that there were a 'class' definition as per another bug report.)

We have used FCK editer with vers 1.56 and 1.57 with Joomla but when we us it wit hver 1.58 we are getting question marks apear in spaces when we copy and paste. If we remove the question marks in the source code, then go back in to the page at later date and make amedments the question markes reapear?

We have upload the site twice and have used FCK for chrome but get the same problem. If we use the tinymouse editer we have no prblems?

Every time I save a page in the DotNetNuke wiki the bulleted list gets additional line breaks between the bullet points. See ​http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Forums/tabid/795/forumid/127/threadid/272999/scope/posts/Default.aspx and also ​http://yalaworld.net/Wiki/tabid/264/topic/Interfaces/Default.aspx wher you can register and try it yourself.

I found some commands side behaviors might need to be central controlled to reduce code DUP:

• CKEDITOR.dialog.saveSelection plus it's sibling CKEDITOR.dialog.restoreSelection which has big things to do with making the selection correct in IE, were Invoked >50 times through different commands.
• "FCKUndo.SaveUndoStep" back in v2 which support the undo/redo system is also invoked arround this number in the same case.

I wonder if we can hook these aspects of commands with some new types of events , which make many hacks/fixes transparent to the commands logic itself, so in this sense, it also benefits for user extension.

The ones which I propose for discussing:

• initCommand which fired right after user click/hit the command, was used to allocate necessary resources for the command, e.g. save the initial selection ranges and undo snapshot.
  
• beforeCommandExe which indicate the command is about to make changes to the content, OR modify the selection ranges(In some dialogs' loadElements case). It would be fired at different time for synchronized(e.g. styles) commands and asynchronous(e.g. dialogs) ones (before onShow?), it's useful for dialog commands which sometimes requires to enlarge the selection to the whole control OR restoring fake elements.
  
• afterCommandExe indicate the command has made actually changes to the documents, which is useful for restore selections and save redo stacks after then;

When 'Maximize/Minimize' is clicked after , it restores it, but does not restore to original size .

As I am writing text and then checking the source, I am finding &nbsp; randomly inserted instead of a space. I have not been able to detect any reason why the editor would put in a non-breaking space.

I am using the latest version inside of Drupal. I can send a sample if that would help.

I've tested the FCK Editor 2.6.4 (Build 21629) with Internet Explorer 8 Release Candidate (v. 8.0.6001.18372IC). And most of the Features work fine!

But there seems to be a problem when linking custom css styles with long file paths to the FCK Editor. I tried several different options to EditorAreaCSS, and this is what I found out:

Test value: FCKConfig.EditorAreaCSS = "/App_Themes/Blue/css/content.css";
Result: js Error on Line: 38 (fckeditorcode_ie.js)
Error: Invalid argument.
Function: var s=A.createStyleSheet("");

I got a running MediaWiki 1.13.4 + FCKeditor, but when I try to insert image by clicking on the icon and enter a file name it says always as first "Automatic search results (searching...)" and then "Automatic search results (no images found)". I tried it with several filenames like Unbenannt.jpg.

I tried it in the sandbox at ​http://mediawiki.fckeditor.net/index.php?title=Sandbox&action=edit, too. I used IE6, IE7 and Firefox 2.0.0.16 and Firefox 3.0.6.

Always no image found.

What should one enter in the field image file name? Where does this automatic search searches?

On windows machines both firefox and IE, data put in a form field either text or textarea that contans &nbsp; is converted to hex(A0) when saved. fckEditor then converst this value to &Acirc;. If that same value is opened in a browser form field again the browser converts this to hex(c3). fckEditor then converts this to Â... I have seen many threads in the blog about the appearance of  and this is one of the main things. Many of us wind up using the content in both browser <textarea> tags and fckEditor. When doing this the data gets corrputed and it excallates. I have composed a lengthy outline of this issue if you would like it. I feel this is a bug in both the browsers treatment and fckEditor. There are other values this happens with besides &nbsp; but this is the most common because fckEditor puts &nbsp; in all over the place.

I know about MediaWiki+FCKeditor project but it has many bad points (you have to install it on server, it doesn't work with new versions of MediaWiki, etc.).

It will be realy nice to have plugin that switch from HTML->Wiki syntax or better plugin where use can define output.

I recently set up a new Wiki MediaWiki 1.13.4 PHP 5.2.8 (cgi) MySQL 5.0.67-log FCKeditor (2.5 SVN Build 21745) Everything works just fine except when I edit an Article using IE7 with Tab-browsing enabled. I can use all functions. But when I try to include an image the selection window appears, the image can be selected, but when I try to take it over the picture is inserted, but the selection window does not close. I narrowed down the problem to a "close window" which does not work. Accessing this wiki using IE6 or Firefox there is no problem. Unfortunately the "OK" and cancel Button are disabled so a manual close it not possible either. Any suggestions? Maybe it would be okay not to disable the cancel button (as an intermediate solution) -but I cannot find the location where to do it :o

I was reformatting a page and noticed that when I copy or cut/pasted hyperlinks (moving it to another spot on the page), the hyperlink was lost. The text was there, but the underlying link was gone. Using IE7.

Currently the Spellcheck dialog loading is very slow and come without any waiting message,and sometimes failed in browser other than FF.

In IE: CKEditor - Editor Area content is not word wrapped

Steps to replicate:

1. Have some default content in the form field which uses editor.
   
2. After the page is loaded with the editor, select all the content in the editor and press delete button on the keyboard
   
3. Press delete button once again, script code will appear in the editor.
   

Example:

1. Visit the link ​http://www.sustainlane.com
   
2. Click on the link 'Post to Sustainlane' which is on the right side of the page below a search box.
   
3. On the next page click on the link Blog
   
4. A radio button selection appears on the right side of the page
   
5. Select 'Recipe' and click on the next button.
   
6. A form with FCKEditor as one of the form fields appears, which has some template text.
   
7. Select this text and press delete button and remove the content.
   
8. Press delete button once again.
   
9. The script appears in the editor.

After opening the ajax example in IE6 and creating the editor instance for the first time, it is not possible to focus in the editing area.

CKEditor 3.0 - Not able to type inside the editor area when jaws is on using fire fox browser.

Note:

1. I Am able to reproduce this issue in your sample "replacebyclass.html".

When the JAWS is on, tab through the dialog(ex: Link or Image), once the focus moved to the ok/cancel press enter. This action should close or display some message but nothing happends.

This is reproducible in the sample html file provided by you. Sample File Used: replacebyclass.html

If you create an anchor (Safari on windows) where no text is present, the anchor is created but the anchor image is not visible in the editor window.

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1) Type some text
2) Create an anchor before the typed text (anchor will be visible)
3) Put some returns after the typed text
4) Create somewhere an anchor in the empty text (so somewhere in the returns)
5) Anchor is created in html but not visible in the editor window.

This problem happens also in the latest nightly build.

Does not appear one can do this - a powerful feature in some forms environments

In "config.php" I've set:

There is an error on uploading images (and probably other files) using QuickUpload. It seams it's a problem with GetParentFolder function in "io.php". It returns an empty string in the above case, and it makes file_exists check fails in CreateServerFolder function.

Reproducing Procedures

1. Replace the content of 'replacebyclass' with attached html file.
2. Open the replace by class example page;
   • Actual Result: The sample page is not loaded.

The greater sign (">"), it is not correctly HTML escaped in safari. Strangly, "<" is escaped correctly.

Safari 3.2.1 only allows you to upload one image in a folder on a Mac OS X. This bug does not exist in Firefox on the same Mac as it allow you to upload multiple images(individually of course) into the same folder.

We are using JSPWiki and using FCKeditor for the same. while editing the pages with FCK editor, while editing the content using style as a custome style "CODE". in preview its giving a white space above the content and below the content. if I save the content it giving annoyed whitespaces above and below..

When we do form post and reload the editor in FireFox, editor was not displaying the content inside the editor area. This is not reproducible in the standalone html file. So Martin is going to give me some logging javasript to identify the issue.

Color to a blank pop-up button

I have FCKeditor inside gwt-ext LayoutDialog that I hide/show multiple times during the long lifetime of the page. Sometimes after show() the editor becomes read only, I can see the cursor blinking in there, but can't edit anything, but doing a hide and show again fixes it. It seems to be happening only in IE and not very consistent. I wonder if it applies to any absolutely positioned editor that gets hidden and shown multiple times.
